Some of the most recent McDonald’s launches have featured out-of-the-box ingredients, like dill pickle salt and bright purple dipping sauces. But the newest menu addition is centered around one of America’s favorite flavors: Caesar.
Starting July 21, McDonald’s restaurants nationwide will offer a limited-time Caesar sauce. The condiment draws inspiration from one of the most popular salad dressings, with notes of Parmesan, lemon, and garlic. McDonald’s describes the sauce as creamy, savory, bright, and fresh. Translation: You’ll want to put this on everything.
We already know that the beloved flavor combination works well with much more than just lettuce. To celebrate the occasion, the chain is highlighting its Caesar sauce across three special menu items. Here’s what to expect from the launch.
The star of the menu is the Bacon Caesar McCrispy. Like the Deluxe McCrispy on the standard menu, you can expect a crispy chicken fillet with lettuce and tomato on a potato roll. But McDonald’s ups the ante with Caesar sauce instead of mayo, applewood smoked bacon, and pickles.
Caesar lovers can also enjoy the sauce alongside the chain’s new-and-improved McCrispy strips, which have been reformulated with a new panko breading.
Lastly, the new dipping sauce is getting the Snack Wrap treatment for a limited time. The Caesar Snack Wrap features all the classic fixings—McCrispy strips, cheese, lettuce, and a tortilla—but with Caesar sauce instead of the standard buttermilk ranch.
If you love Caesar as much as we do, then this release may be the best thing McDonald’s has done all year. We’ll be counting down the days until it’s officially available at locations nationwide—and stay tuned for our review of the new menu.
