When you think of cheesecake, the “cheese” part is almost beside the point. Technically it’s there, but what you’re really thinking about is the creamy tang and the dense little luxury of the whole thing. Kraft Mac & Cheese, meanwhile, is a completely different animal: gooey, aggressively orange and usually eaten with zero regard for elegance.
These aren’t two foods that should be texting each other, but Kraft Dinner has officially decided that dinner and dessert no longer need boundaries.
Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on the limited KD Mac & Cheesecake, now available at select bakeries across Canada.
The dessert takes the brand’s signature cheese flavor and works it into an actual cheesecake, with KD cheese mixed into both the graham cracker crust and the filling itself. According to the official recipe, the whole thing also ropes in Philadelphia cream cheese, granulated sugar, cornstarch, eggs, and packets of both KD Original cheese powder and KD Deluxe Creamy Cheddar cheese sauce.
In a statement, Brian Neumann, Head of Brand and Creativity at Kraft Heinz, said, “As Canada’s unofficial dish, KD has long been associated with dinner. This led us to ask ourselves, ‘why should the unmistakable KD flavour be limited to dinner time?’ Today, we’re excited to give Canadians a brand new way to enjoy KD’s one-of-a-kind cheese flavour. KD Mac & Cheesecake is a playful way for us to remind Canadians that when it comes to delicious cheese—no matter the meal—it's Gotta be KD.”
What’s slightly unsettling is that fans seem pretty ready to go there. “Thank you for making our day 😍,” one person wrote. Another called it “The cheesecake we didn’t know we needed in 2026! 😍” Someone else skipped right into commitment without even needing a taste: “I need 3 of these for the weekend. That's all. ❤️💙💛”
Another simply summed up the mood with, “SHUT THE FRONT DOOR it’s gunna be a cheesy summer🔥👏😍”
I can’t say this is what the world needed, and I definitely still have questions. But I would also like a fork.
