Apple cider is fresh, unfiltered, and often unpasteurized what we mightconsidermore natural with little to no refinaring. It's also considered a seasonal drink and can be hard to find outside of the autumn months. Apple juice, on the other hand is filtered and pasteurized, which gives it a longer shelf life, sweeter taste, and a smoother texture.
Apple juice is made through a process called steeping. During the entire process of apple juice, it ends up losing some nutrients, such as vitamin C. Apple cider, does not go through this process. It is a non-alcoholic and unfiltered drink, preserving some nutrients.
Both have apple in their composition. The big difference is that apple cider is composed of sugar and alcoholic fermented apple. And apple juice is pure apple extract. And cider with a c is a citron fruit that has nothing to do with apples.
